Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, FILCA is the author of Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple (2010) and co-author of Breastfeeding Made Simple: Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers, 2nd Edition (2010), and three editions of The Breastfeeding Answer Book. She has been helping breastfeeding families since 1982. Board-certified in 1991, she ran a large private practice in the Chicago area from 1993 to 2003. Nancy is Chair of the Leadership Team of the developing Mothers’ Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes, served for seven years as Chair of the Chicago Area Breastfeeding Coalition, and is a Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association.Email Nancy
Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, Ph.D., IBCLC, FAPA is a health psychologist, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and Owner/Editor-in-Chief of Praeclarus Press, a small press specializing in women's health. She is Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Amarillo, Texas and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association in both Health and Trauma Psychology. She is associate editor of the journal Psychological Trauma and Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Lactation. Dr. Kendall-Tackett is author of more than 300 journal articles, book chapters, and other publications, and author or editor of 21 books in the fields of trauma, women's health, depression, and breastfeeding. She was won several awards for her research including the Outstanding Research Study Award from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, Distinguished Alumna from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, California State University, Chico. In 2011, she received the Community Faculty Award from the Department of Pediatrics, Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and she received (with Tom Hale) the John Kennell and Marshal Klaus Award for Excellence in Research from DONA International for their work on the Survey of Mothers' Sleep and Fatigue.
